English language requirements
If English is not your first language and you did not complete the last two years of secondary education in English, you are required to provide evidence of English language competency before enrolling into a course. Examples of appropriate evidence are listed below:
|International English Language Testing System (IELTS)||Overall score of 5.5|
|Test of English as a Foreign Langauge (TOEFL)||530 (paper)|
|Evidence of 12 months in English-speaking employment|
If you do not meet these requirements, you can complete an English Language Skills Check (28821A) to assess English proficiency. Click here for more course information.
Some TAFE Digital courses require the student to complete practical tasks in a real work environment. These tasks are then assessed by video evidence provided by the student, a signed checklist from supervisors, written assignment work and interview with student and possibly the supervisor.
Most work placement can be undertaken as long as the workspace and equipment used meet Australian standards, A web conference may need to be undertaken between the teacher and supervisors to help assess the adequacy of the workplace.
If you have any questions relating to work placement please contact our customer help team on 1300 8233 669 or view our Overseas student information flyer.
