Delwyn Kruk, Acting HR Manager in the Health Industry, North Coast NSW:“Initially I was concerned about doing the course online, but the learning materials and assessments were very relevant to what I’m doing in my work. The teacher support was fantastic too.”
Leni Alexander, has gone on to do an Advanced Diploma in HR and Management“The course was interesting and challenging, all the materials easy to follow. I found it particularly relevant in the area of industrial legislation.”
Justin Crawford, Recruitment Assistant, Organisational & Workforce Development, NCTAFE“I got into a good routine by going to the library before and after work every day to study. This worked for me because there were no distractions. If I needed inspiration or help, I would talk to my teacher, a TAFE librarian or a work colleague.”
Rochelle Nicholls, (Ph.D) Diploma of Library and Information Services, and Librarian Cootamundra LibraryI would also like to take this opportunity to thank you and the other teaching staff for the support you have provided me in the last two years. It has been a real juggling act with trying to study, work, run a farm, raise a family, and write a book ("Joe Quinn Among the Rowdies: the life of baseball's honest Australian"), but I got there in the end and I couldn't have done so without the professionalism, understanding, and back-up of the TAFEnow staff. Thank you so much for all the learning experiences you have provided us all with, and for the inspiration we will all no doubt take into our future careers.
Julianna Matthews - Diploma of Business Administration“Completing the Diploma of Business Administration has been a valuable asset to my career. It has made me more efficient in my current role.”
Kate Hewson, Certificate II in Animal Studies"I recently completed a Certificate II in Animal Studies after two semesters of online study. The course was incredibly thorough, engaging and relevant to work in the animal care industry. It helped me to develop a huge range of skills that I’ve since relied on in several real-life situations, and thanks to the practical assessments I have always felt confident in my ability to apply those skills when needed. The online mode of study fitted my lifestyle perfectly because it allowed me to complete the course modules at my own pace (at any time of day) and to organise my assessments around other commitments like work and travel. The course coordinator, Kirsty, was not only knowledgeable, but also dedicated to giving constructive feedback and providing support throughout the course. Kirsty was always quick to respond to my emails and helped me to stay on track by checking-in every now and then to see how I was progressing. As part of the course, I arranged a work placement at a ‘doggie day care’ centre in Chippendale. I loved it immediately and was lucky enough to be offered a paid casual role, so I’ve been able to continue working with the dogs I adore even after completing my studies. Whatever direction my career takes in the future, I know that animals will remain a huge part of my life."
Miranda Batten, Certificate IV in Project Management graduate“Having a project management qualification gave me the edge in my job interview, I was able to discuss with the interview panel a holistic approach to projects I would be involved in.
